Frequently Asked Questions
What does it feel like to be in hypnosis?
You may not realise this but you probably go into hypnosis or a 'trance like' state several times a day. This may happen when you're watching TV or driving on 'auto pilot' and don't recall driving down a street, yet you know that you did. Hypnosis is really just focusing your attention inwards. It's really easy to be guided into hypnosis, all you have to do is follow the instructions and Rebekah teaches all of her clients the art of self hypnosis. Rebekah is very experienced in many forms of hypnosis and often uses a conversational style, during which you engage in conversation with your eyes open.
Will I be under your control during hypnosis?
No! Therapeutic hypnosis is very different from stage hypnosis. Clients are always fully aware of what they are saying and doing.
Why do I need to book a free consultation first?
It's important for me to understand your needs. Appointments are only offered to clients when I feels confident that I can help you overcome your challenge.
What do you do with client information?
All client records are kept confidential and I only liaise with health practitioners with clients' permission.
Do online sessions work?
Yes! You can save time and experience sessions in the comfort of your own home. I have amazing results working with clients online. It's essential to have a good internet connection and a comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. This enables me to work with clients anywhere in Australia and overseas.
How will I feel after a session?
Many clients report feeling 'lighter, like a weight has been lifted from their chest'. Some clients feel joyful and excited while others feel more reflective. The most important aspect of change is long term results.
You specialise in helping people with relationship issues, do you see people with other challenges?
As a coach and clinical hypnotherapist, I'm trained to work with people in a variety of areas including stress/anxiety, depression, quit smoking, childhood trauma, overcome business mindset blocks and with other emotional issues.
Do you work with men?
Yes! Although the majority of my clients (approximately 65% ) are women, I also happily work with men.
Do you work with children?
The majority of my clients are adults. I occasionally work with some teenagers but not young children. If I do work with someone under 18, it's vital that the young person wants to do it and we need to work on what they see as the priority.
